HUMAN RIGHTS REPORT: NO TO STATE POLICE IN NIGERIA

Let those proponents of State police in Nigeria think twice. State police will solve security problems in some States but certainly would fuel killings of hated ethnic or dialectical or clannish people. If the State apparatus is controlled by the clan of the governor as is likely to be the case, other clannish people in opposition would be serially eliminated. Governor would be in 100% (total) control of security apparatus, so that “hated people” would be technically eliminated.

Nigeria police should hold the ace in solving Nigeria's security problems, but presently it does not. Rather than allowing State police, the good thing about the President commanding Police should be fully seen in posting only people of other religions apart from islam to be State commissioners of Police in each of the 19 Northern States. This is because muslims by their nature are murderous and blood-thirsty so that for prompt action, a non fellow muslim should immediately mobilize for action against any slightest insurgence. muslim Commissioners of Police should be in Southern Nigeria where they have no religious problem to the tune of 100%.
