Precisely, October, 2016, Bishop (Prof) Leonard Nwaoma Umunna, Presiding Bishop of Bible Life Church Cathedral (BLCC), one of the oldest and fastest- growing Pentecostal churches in Ajeromi-Ifelodun LGA of Lagos State, would be celebrating his 53rd on the pulpit with extraordinary legacies.
The news is that Bishop Umunna has able to maintain legendary calling over the trying years and continuously staying on the ministerial status quo.One thing that singles out Bishop Umunna from his peer pastors is living a quiet life without displaying material wealth on the social or print media. The truth of the matter is that grace and humility has spiritually helped Umunna to triumph over satanic agents of darkness who never mean well to a man that was born half-dead on earth by poor parents.
His calling into the ministry in 1963 was never a mistake but saw the abundant blessings of God in his life at a tender age while his equals were still depending on their parents for survival.
At 9, he received a call to start working for God and ever since then, many lives have been transformed from obscurity to limelight through this enviable and amiable God’s general of our time.
Coming to Ajegunle to start his ministry was the Holy Spirit instruction which he paid rapt attention to. Having been successful in one of the defunct government establishments, it was now dawn on him to start serious fellowship with God.
After 29 years later, Bishop Umunna was called to establish a favoured church in 1982 and today many branches have been birthed under the leadership of this great man of God that adores with humility, punctuality, creativity and perseverance.
Indeed, at 63rd of age and 53rd on the pulpit are synonymous to a significant legend who wants other younger pastors to grow in ministry over time.
Again, his ministerial impacts are not only seen on the pulpit but also in all spheres of life. From the pulpit to education, entertainment, health and to entrepreneurial leadership in Nigeria. He has mentored many sons and daughters in the Lord who are spiritually doing well in all ramifications.
