Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State has extolled the good virtues of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye who turned 70 years recently saying he has contributed greatly to the spiritual upliftment of millions of Nigerians over the years.

Yuguda, in a press statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. ishola Michael Adeyemi, stated that the spiritual attainment under the leadership of Pastor Enoch Adeboye had ensured that Nigerians remained moraly and spiritually upright declaring, however, that more still needed to be done by the cleric to make more Nigerians spiritually and morally upright.

The governor, who declared that he had followed the series of teachings of the RCCG with passion explained that he had come to understand that Pastor Enoch Adeboye stood for uprightness and spiritual growth of all irrespective of ethno-religious standing, pointing out that such Nigerian religious leaders were hard to come by.

He added that what the country needed at this period of its development was true preachings and religious tolerance because, according to him, 'God in His wisdom created us together in this country and allowed us to belong to different religions. We must therefore tolerate each other and push religious differences aside. We need each other to succeed.'

He also used the medium to appeal to all religious preachers to ensure they preached unity and peaceful coexistence among their adherents because, according to him, no meaningful developmental progress could be made in a chaotic atmosphere.

While congratulating the clergyman for clocking the age of 70, Governor Yuguda urged Pastor Adeboye not to relent in preaching the truth to all as well as continue to bring up Nigerians morally and spiritually just as he wished him more years of positive service to God and humanity.
