It was indeed a gathering to behold, a night to talk about for long, a momentum that carries with itself a tempo orchestrated by a surging crowd that were over 30,000, all at the ultra-modern venue of this year's Feast of Worship Live, C.A.C, Agbala-Itura, Agege, Lagos on Thursday, 27th, 2009. It was the annual gospel Christian concert tagged Feast of Worship Live, meant to worship God in truth and in spirit and to equally bring about gathering of all and sundry irrespective of their denomination, class, race, sex, creed and religion, it was a nite of praise galore with different “effizi”, worship extravaganza with style, awards for deserving persons, naked comedy amidst others.

The event started at exactly 10.00pm with Apostle P.K, a fast rising comedian cum M.C anchoring the programme. The crowd had already been told to bring all sort of instrument to praise God, so, the event was full of ecstasy, high praises, colour and grandeur. The invited artistes, celebrities, guests etc were treated to a well coordinated and a wonderful red carpet reception before been ushered in into the large stadium-like galleria seating auditorium of the church. The nite was thrown into the right mood as Gbenga Ogundeyi (Felefele Laye) mounted the stage digging out the best of his album to the people, no dull moment at all as the sensational voice of Sholla Allyson, the “Eji Owuro” crooner led the crowd into another round of worship that threw the audience into another realm.

Intermittent comedy was not missing as Saint Ukpabi and Apostle P.K became the toast of the audience with hilarious and rib-cracking jokes as a form of breaker to the event. It was the turn of Lady Evangelist Ojo, the “Waka” gospel crooner, Baba Ara Band, the group that the late popular gospel artiste (Baba Ara)left, took their turn as the whole church followed the songs word for word before Isreal Abiara &Judah 2K took the praise to another level, called Afro-gospel, it was a rendition and performance that reminds one of Fela Anikulapokuti.

From the sound production, to the ambience, to the quality of artistes, guests driven by alternate/viral media (facebook, twitters, bulk sms etc), the massive attendance, the programme content, to the total package etc, it was something out of the box.

Heaven were let loose under the anointing of praises when the Midnite crew took over and for one and half hour, it was a multi-faceted style of praises from (Oriki Olorun) in the most “effizi” trend, to the popular “Igwe” rendition, to diversified fuji at its best, the crowd wanted more!. The Youth Pastor of International Youth Fellowship of C.A.C, Agbala-Itura, Pastor Fela Keshinro was not only delighted, he was full of praises to God to have the opportunity of witnessing the event. In his word” I give all glory to God, did you see the crowd? did you see how people got connected to the King of King in such a heavenly frequency? this is awesome and marvellous in His eyes. This is the Lord's doing not that of any man, because you can't explain it” he submitted.

And as if it was all the night had in stock, Lady Evangelist Bukola Akinade stepped in, as she took the worship to another level that spanned through another ample time which lasted till 6.00am the following morning; she was engaging the audience directly with her own special style of gospel “alujo”. She called out the organisers to dance before God Almighty; it was a night to remember.

One of the highly elated audience, Olaolu Adeboye had this to say” well, I have been part of several gospel programmes before, but this is sure a great one, from the organisations, to programme content and the calibre of artistes on parade, to the ambience of the venue, it is massive. I will definitely log on for next year's edition; it is another experience in Nigeria.”

The event was powered by God and sponsored by Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc, Obokun Freight Forwarders Ltd and Moses Adebayo Nig. Ltd.
