Norwagian-based Nigerian striker, Solomon Okoronkwo, has made a passionate appealed to the Nigerian football governing body, NFF, to temper justice with mercy by retaining Eagles gaffer, Samson Siasia, stressing he has done well in rebranding the team.

The former junior international also apologised to soccer-loving Nigerians on the failure of the Siasia-led team to pick the 2012 African Nations Cup ticket describing it as a serious setback to Nigerian football.

Commenting online from his Norway base, the Beijing 2008 Olympics Dream Team IV forward, argued that Siasia has all it takes to repackage Eagles and take the team to a greater height.

'Siasia is a good coach, he has all it takes to turn around the team to a formidable one. All he needs is time, and for Nigerians to be patient with him. We have good players all over the world, and with time Nigerians would start seeing his good jobs,' Okoronkwo said.

He further noted that his missing the game against the Syli Stars of Guinea does not exonerate him from the Eagles failure, stressing that all the players' shares in whatever that has befallen the team, even as he noted that he remains optimistic that Eagles would surely rise up again.
