ENYIMBA CONSOLIDATES WITH VICTORY OVER RAJA

By NBF News

Enyinmba International Football Club of Aba yesterday (Sunday) afternoon consolidated on its CAF Champions League campaign with the 2-0 victories recorded against visiting Raja Casablanca Football Club of Morocco.

The first half goals scored by Uche Kalu and Chidozie Johonson in the 8th and 26th minutes of the game respectively were all Enyimba needed to secure maximum points against Raja at the Enyimba Stadium.

The Nigerian representatives to the CAF Champions League had started their campaign on a shaky note with the 2-2 draw against Al Hilal F.C of Sudan, but made up for the shaky start with their 3-2 defeat of Coton Sport of Camroon.

As it stands now, the Peoples Elephant has advanced in the League tables with seven points.

Meanwhile, the club's Chairman, Chief Felix Anyani Agwu, has expressed optimism that the Aba giants would run over Raja Casablanca of Morocco, when the two teams meet in the next fortnight in Morocco.

Commenting on the out come of Sunday evenings cracker in Aba, Anyansi disclosed that his expectation was a 4-0 win, adding that Enyimba players went to sleep after scoring the two goals in the first half. 'The players went to sleep after the two goals which came in the first half. I expected them to win Raja with at least a 4-0-goal margin.

'In two weeks time, I expect us to clinch another maximum point in Morocco. Raja Casablanca does not have any stake in the Champions League again; they are down and out because they have just three points from four matches.
