WE 'LL PAY N18,000 NEW WAGE - BENUE GOVT

MAKURDI - Governor Gabriel Suswam of Benue State has promised that his administration would pay the new minimum wage to workers just as he assured that his administration would continue to accord greater attention to the welfare of workers in the state for improved performance.

The Governor also stated that his administration would in the next four years complete all on-going projects  embarked upon since its inception.

Suswam gave the assurance weekend during the burial of a foremost catholic woman and PDP leader in Benue State, Madam Victoria Atorough.

He said despite the low resources available to his government, his administration would continue to improve on the well being of workers in the state.

He, however, stated that proceeds to states from the federation account most be improved upon to enable states pay the new minimum wage and still have some funds for development.
