LAGOS, March 23, (THEWILL) - The successive administrations of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today received knocks for the poor state of infrastructure in the country as Lagos State Governor Batunde Raji Fashola (SAN) and four other gubernatorial candidates in the state presented their vision for the state in a governorship debate.

Dr. Abayomi Tokoya of the All Nigerian People’s Party (ANPP), Mr. Ayodele Akele of the National Conscience Party (NCP) and Dr. Agboola Dominic of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) blamed the PDP led federal government for Nigeria’s economic woes.

The debate was organized by the Lagos Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ).

But the PDP governorship candidate, Dr. Adegboyega Dosunmu however countered by accusing Fashola of mismanaging public funds, which he said had led to insecurity and infrastructural decay.

The debate was moderated by Prof. Abayomi Akinyeye of the University of Lagos, while the Guild of Editors President, Mr. Gbenga Adefaye, Ms. Siju Alabi of Superscreen Television and Sam Omatseye of The Nation Newspaper were panelists.
