Delta Central Backs Uduaghan's Re Election Bid

The Central Senatorial District of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) has assured Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan that it was united behind his candidature in the re-run elections.

The renewed enthusiasism of the District was expressed yesterday (23/11/10)by the party's Chairman in the district, Surveyor Terry Noah when Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan paid a thank you visit to Elders and Leaders of the party in the District.

He drew attention to the candidature of Dr. Uduaghan in the 2007 elections and the effective implementation of the party's programmes which greatly improved development in the state.

Surveyor Noah said the people of the district were prepared to re-enact the massive support and voting for Dr. Uduaghan."Please I appeal to all our people in Central to promote unity of our people. Please go and register in your area and vote massively for PDP and Dr. Uduaghan", he added.

A Former Senator, Chief Fred Brume who was chief of the event charged the people of the area to mobilize the electorate for Dr. Uduaghan in the coming elections.

“This is the time for the senatorial district to work harder for our excellency. Our Governor, we welcome you to your district, your home.As you all know, Dr. Uduaghan started his life and grew to maturity in Urhobo land, so he deserves our total support",the stated.

Similarly youths in the area under the auspices of Urhobo Youth Leaders Association led by Mr. Godwin Okporoko pledged their support for Dr. Uduaghan, declaring their readiness and commitment to mobilise the youths for the PDP candidate in a peaceful election.

Earlier, Dr. Uduaghan said he came to thank the people for their support in the 2007 gubernatorial elections , the three and half years he served the people as well as for their support in spite of the Appeal Court Verdict.

He expressed his preparedness for the elections,and appealled to the Elders and Leaders to mobilize their supporters for PDP in the elections.

 
Dr. Uduaghan urged the party supporters to remain united as they stood to reap greater benefits if they speak with one voice and resolve every misunderstanding amicably.

He appologised to anyone he may have offended in the senatorial District

“Let me thank you for the large turnout, let me thank for welcoming me warmly, I am here to thank you for your support in 2007 and for the support in the last three and half years. I thank you all because in spite of what happened, you are still very much supportive. I will give account of my stewardship in the past three and half years in different ways and in different fora", he stated.

Furthermore, he said:“We all have our deficiencies and we all have our weaknesses. I accept my deficiencies, I accept my weakness and I apologise for them". Uduaghan disclosed that a committee has been constituted to address the grey areas and areas of differences between him and some people in the district.
