Fiorentina Renew Pursuit of Arokodare With Improved Transfer Proposal

Italian Serie A side Fiorentina have stepped up their efforts to sign Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare by presenting an improved offer to Wolverhampton Wanderers as negotiations between the two clubs continue.

The Florence-based club remains eager to strengthen its attacking options before the new season and has identified the Super Eagles forward as one of its priority targets during the summer transfer window.

After an initial proposal was turned down, Fiorentina have returned with a revised package designed to increase their chances of securing the 25-year-old's signature.

According to transfer reports, the latest offer includes a loan arrangement that would become permanent through a purchase clause valued at around €22 million.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has reported that discussions between the clubs are progressing, with both parties continuing to work towards an agreement.

The player is also believed to be interested in making the move, viewing Serie A as an important opportunity to advance his career.

Arokodare joined Wolverhampton Wanderers from Belgian side Genk last summer but struggled to establish himself as a regular goal scorer during his first campaign in England.

Despite making over 30 league appearances, the Nigerian international found the net only a handful of times while also contributing an assist.

Although his performances did not fully meet expectations, Wolves remain in a strong negotiating position as the striker is contracted to the club until 2029, with an option to extend his stay for an additional year.

Fiorentina are expected to continue talks in the coming days as they seek to finalise a deal that would bring the Super Eagles forward to Italian football ahead of the 2026/27 season.
