Arsenal have officially announced that Belgian forward Leandro Trossard is set to leave the club after reaching an agreement with Turkish giants Beşiktaş over a permanent transfer.

The Premier League champions confirmed that the experienced attacker has been given permission to travel to Istanbul, where he will complete a medical examination before finalising the move.

The transfer is expected to be completed once all remaining formalities are concluded.

According to reports, the deal is worth around £17 million, including performance-related bonuses. Trossard leaves North London after spending three and a half seasons at the Emirates Stadium, where he became an important member of Mikel Arteta's squad.

Since arriving from Brighton in January 2023, the Belgian international made 174 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions, scoring 36 goals while contributing numerous assists.

His versatility and ability to play across the attacking line made him a valuable option for the Gunners.

Trossard played a significant role during Arsenal's successful 2025/26 campaign, helping the club secure the Premier League title while also reaching the UEFA Champions League final. He contributed eight goals and 11 assists in 50 appearances across all competitions.

His departure could mark the beginning of changes in Arsenal's attacking department as the club continues to reshape its squad ahead of the new season. Several wide players have already been linked with a move to the Emirates as potential replacements.

The 31-year-old now begins a fresh chapter in Turkey, where Beşiktaş will hope his experience and attacking quality can strengthen their squad.

Arsenal, meanwhile, thanked the Belgian for his service and wished him success in the next stage of his career.
