Harry Kane Should Return to the Premier League - Rooney
Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has revealed he would welcome Harry Kane to Old Trafford if the England captain decides to leave Bayern Munich in the near future.
Rooney believes Kane would be the ideal striker to help revive United's fortunes and challenge for major honours in the Premier League once again.
He also suggested that a return to England would give Kane the opportunity to chase Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League goalscoring record.
The former United captain acknowledged that Europe's biggest clubs would be interested in signing a player of Kane's quality but insisted he would love to see the prolific forward wearing the famous red shirt.
Kane has enjoyed another outstanding campaign, scoring an incredible number of goals for both Bayern Munich and the England national team. His consistency in front of goal has made him one of the most sought-after strikers in world football.
Rooney also believes Kane will play a decisive role in England's quest for World Cup success. According to the former striker, England's chances of lifting the trophy depend heavily on Kane's ability to deliver crucial goals during the knockout stages.
He also praised midfielder Jude Bellingham, describing the Real Madrid star as a player whose determination and leadership naturally inspire those around him.
Rooney feels Bellingham's energy, combined with Kane's clinical finishing, gives England a strong chance of going deep in the competition.
Although Kane has been linked with several European giants, Rooney remains hopeful the striker will eventually return to the Premier League and lead Manchester United back to the top.
