Juventus, Beşiktaş Battle for Super Eagles Goalkeeper Maduka Okoye

Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has become a leading transfer target for both Juventus and Turkish giants Beşiktaş following an impressive campaign with Italian Serie A club Udinese.

The Nigerian shot-stopper enjoyed one of the best seasons of his career in 2025/26, producing a string of outstanding performances that helped Udinese finish comfortably in mid-table.

Okoye featured in 30 league matches, recorded 10 clean sheets and conceded 32 goals, earning praise for his consistency and command between the posts.

His performances have reportedly caught the attention of Juventus, who are in the market for a new first-choice goalkeeper ahead of the new season.

The Turin club is said to have shifted its focus to Okoye after encountering difficulties in its pursuit of other goalkeeping targets.

Beşiktaş have also entered the race for the 26-year-old as they look to strengthen their squad before the start of the new Turkish Süper Lig campaign.

The Istanbul club is keen to improve its defensive record and believes Okoye possesses the experience and quality needed to reinforce its goalkeeping department.

Udinese are understood to value the Nigeria international at around €15 million. With two years remaining on his current contract, the Serie A side are under no immediate pressure to sell and are expected to negotiate firmly with interested clubs.
