Morocco forward Ismael Saibari has made history at the 2026 FIFA World Cup after becoming the first African footballer to score in all three of his country's group-stage matches.

The 25-year-old reached the milestone during Morocco's thrilling 4-2 victory over Haiti in their final Group C fixture. Saibari found the back of the net to level the score after Morocco had fallen behind early in the contest, extending his remarkable scoring run in the tournament.

His goalscoring journey began in Morocco's opening match against Brazil, where he netted in a 1-1 draw with the five-time world champions.

He followed that performance by scoring the decisive goal in a narrow 1-0 victory over Scotland before adding another strike against Haiti.

Saibari's three goals have also seen him become the first African player to score three times in a single World Cup since Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan achieved the feat during the 2010 tournament in South Africa.

The Moroccan international has played a vital role in helping the Atlas Lions qualify for the Round of 32, continuing the country's impressive rise on the world stage after its historic semi-final appearance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

With Morocco safely through to the knockout rounds, Saibari will be expected to maintain his outstanding form as the North Africans chase another memorable run and attempt to become the first African nation to lift football's biggest prize.
