Chelsea legend John Terry has suggested that Arsenal should consider signing Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane as the ideal solution to their attacking challenges under manager Mikel Arteta.

Terry made the comments while appearing on Piers Morgan Uncensored, where he discussed what he believes is missing in Arsenal’s current squad.

According to him, the Gunners lack a consistent top-class striker capable of delivering 25 to 30 goals per season, a quality he says is essential for title-winning teams.

The former Chelsea captain argued that elite sides over the past two decades have always been built around a prolific forward. He referenced legendary names such as Thierry Henry, Wayne Rooney, and Didier Drogba, stressing that each of those players provided consistent goal output that defined their teams’ success.

In his view, Arsenal are currently without such a figure, which limits their ability to compete at the very highest level over a full season.

He believes this is a key reason why the club has struggled to fully convert their progress under Arteta into major trophies.

When pressed on who Arsenal should target, Terry did not hesitate in naming Harry Kane. He described the England captain as the kind of proven striker who could instantly transform Arsenal’s attacking threat and bring the required goal guarantee.

However, Terry also expressed doubts about the feasibility of such a transfer, suggesting that attracting top-tier players to Arsenal remains a significant challenge despite their recent improvements.

His comments have reignited debate among fans about Arsenal’s need for a world-class striker as they continue their push for Premier League glory.
