The Super Falcons have stepped up preparations for their upcoming international friendly matches against Senegal after key players joined the squad in Ikenne, Ogun State.

Training intensity increased on Wednesday as several late arrivals completed the team’s camp, bringing the total number of players to 21.

The gradual arrival of squad members had initially slowed preparations since camp opened earlier in the week, but the full group is now beginning to take shape ahead of the double-header.

Captain Rasheedat Ajibade, first-choice goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, and midfielder Jennifer Echegini were among the high-profile players who reported on Wednesday.

They were joined by returning defender Rofiat Imuran as the team looks to fine-tune tactics ahead of the matches.

Earlier arrivals included experienced forward Asisat Oshoala and several Europe-based professionals, while additional players filtered in over the following days from different leagues across the world.

The Super Falcons will face Senegal in two friendly encounters scheduled for Friday and Monday at the Remo Stars Sports Complex.

Both fixtures will serve as important preparation for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where Nigeria will aim to defend their continental crown.

Senegal have also arrived in camp and are expected to provide strong opposition as both teams use the matches to assess readiness and squad depth.

Beyond preparation, the friendlies are part of Nigeria’s broader build-up to a busy international calendar that includes qualification targets for global competitions.

With a blend of experienced stars and emerging talents now in camp, the Super Falcons are focused on building cohesion and sharpening performance ahead of competitive action.
