Sevilla FC suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat against Real Madrid in their La Liga clash on Sunday evening at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium. Despite the loss, Sevilla managed to secure their top-flight status after results elsewhere went in their favour.

The visitors started strongly and grabbed the only goal of the encounter in the 15th minute through Brazilian winger Vinícius Júnior.

The forward finished calmly after Real Madrid capitalised on an early attacking move to silence the home supporters.

Sevilla struggled to create clear-cut chances throughout the game despite showing determination and energy.

The home side registered several attempts but failed to seriously trouble the Madrid defence. Real Madrid controlled possession for large periods and looked more dangerous going forward.

The match also saw a tense second half with several bookings and interruptions. Sevilla defender Nemanja Gudelj received a yellow card before being substituted shortly after the restart. Tempers flared late in the game as Sevilla’s frustrations grew while chasing an equaliser.

Real Madrid introduced fresh legs in midfield and attack, with players like Eduardo Camavinga helping the visitors maintain control. Sevilla pushed forward in the closing stages but could not find a breakthrough.

Although Sevilla fell to defeat, the result was enough to move them further away from relegation danger following other outcomes in the league. Meanwhile, Real Madrid continued their push to finish the season strongly with another important away victory.
