Nigerian youngster Olawale Ayodele has completed a transfer to Hungarian top-flight club Zalaegerszegi TE (ZETE), marking another step forward in his promising football career. The move, announced on Tuesday, October 8, 2025, sees the talented forward leave Nigerian Nationwide League One (NLO) side, Real Sapphire, where he made his mark last season.

Although details of the contract were not disclosed by either club, sources close to the deal suggest that Ayodele’s move is part of Zalaegerszegi’s long-term plan to invest in emerging African talents with strong technical potential.

Ayodele, who featured prominently for Real Sapphire in the NLO, earned recognition for his pace, creativity, and finishing ability. His performances reportedly attracted interest from scouts across Europe before Zalaegerszegi secured his signature.

Reacting to the move, a representative of Real Sapphire praised Ayodele’s commitment and expressed optimism about his future abroad. “Olawale has always shown hunger and discipline. We believe this move to Hungary will help him grow and make Nigeria proud,” the representative said.

Ayodele now joins the growing list of young Nigerian players making strides in European football, continuing a tradition of exports that includes talents from local academies to top-tier leagues.

At Zalaegerszegi, the Lagos-born forward is expected to bring energy and attacking flair to the team as they compete in Hungary’s Nemzeti Bajnokság I. His adaptability and hunger to impress could make him one of the breakout Nigerian stars in the Hungarian league this season.

Fans back home will be keen to follow his progress as he begins this new chapter in Europe, representing another success sto
