Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, has been officially listed among players set to represent Kano Pillars in the upcoming 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

This was confirmed in a statement issued by the club’s Media and Communications Directorate on Monday. The announcement comes as the team resumes pre-season training today, June 30, following a one-month break after the conclusion of the 2024/2025 campaign.

The return of Musa, a veteran winger with experience across Europe and the Saudi Pro League, is seen as a major boost for the team. He had previously played for the Kano-based side earlier in his career and also made a brief return in 2021.

Musa will train alongside notable team members including club legend Rabiu Ali “Pele”, Muttaka Musa, Abdullahi Abubakar, Fahad Usman, Dawud Ibrahim, Abdullahi Ali, Yusuf Bala Maigoro, Naziru Auwalu Ibrahim, Aminu Adam Sani, Habibu Yakubu, Mustapha Umar, and Ibrahim Sani Halliru.

In addition to the returning stars, the club also promoted four players from its Feeders and Academy squads: Jibrin Yusuf, Aminu Muhammed, Mustapha Muhammed, and Muhammad Usman. These young talents are expected to blend with the senior squad to strengthen the team’s depth ahead of the new season.

The return of Ahmed Musa is expected to not only raise the club’s profile but also inspire the younger generation of players in the squad. Fans are hopeful that his leadership will help the team make a strong push in the league.

With pre-season activities underway, all eyes will be on Kano Pillars as they prepare for what promises to be a competitive NPFL campaign.
