Harry Kane Speaks On Likelihood To Play 2026 World Cup
With little or no consideration for age factor, the England's top scorer in recent years, Harry Kane has expressed interest to continue to represent the England national team in the next World Cup tournament.
The Bayern striker who has improved over time would be in the category of legendary players like Messi, Ronaldo and few others who still play professional football in spite of exceeding 30 years of vigour. Kane would be thirty three by the time the world Cup will commence, and he has maintained that he is in his highest level and ready to play football even beyond the year 2026.
The Bayern Munich striker has been so instrumental for both club and country. He has been involved in 61 goals for Bayern. Besides, he scored a crucial goal in England's 5-0 win against Rep of Ireland.
Speaking on his enthusiasm to represent England national team in 20026 World Cup, he told Sky Sports: "I don't think so. I think sometimes there's a perception that when you get into your 30s, you are coming to an end but for me personally I am performing at the highest level I have ever performed and feel as good as I have ever felt. It's about taking in the moment. I don't like to look too far ahead in my career, I never have. The World Cup is going to be exciting, in America it's going to be an incredible occasion. Ultimately, it's about trying to win that [World Cup], and as always you look at where you are and what you need to do to improve and that will be no different in a couple of years."
