Akpom Uncertain Over Ajax Future

Nigerian-born forward, Chuba Akpom said his future will be decided by Ajax at the end of the season.

The forward, who joined the Eredivisie giants from Middlesbrough last summer has been linked with a return to England.

Nottingham Forest and Fulham are strong contenders for his signature.

Akpom stated that it is up to Ajax to decide where he will be playing his football next season.

“I don’t know yet what the club wants. I just want to have fun and play football, it doesn’t matter where. We have two more games to play and then we will see what will happen,” he told reporters.

“I cannot predict the future. The most important thing is that I enjoy it. Whether I start or have to come from the bench, I do what I have to do.”

Akpom has 15 goals and two assists in 34 games across all competitions for Ajax.
