Olympic Qualifier: Super Falcons To Face A Different S’ Africa Side — Ellis

By Chimezie Nebolisa

South Africa head coach, Desiree Ellis has said the Super Falcons will be up against a different Banyana Banyana side on Tuesday.

The reigning African champions will be up against the Super Falcons at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium, Pretoria.

The Super Falcons won the first leg of the 2024 Olympic Games final qualifying round contest 1-0 thanks to Rasheedat Ajibade’s first half penalty.

Ellis claimed that the Banyana Banyana were better than what they showed in the first leg.

“Looking forward to the game tomorrow, we have looked at the footage [first game] as well. We know we are better than what we showed in Nigeria. We can do way better than that, and I think the second half showed how well we can play. It is a match we have to win,” Ellis told the media.

“We have to put everything into it to make sure that we get the goal early to be able to kickstart from there. We know it won’t be easy, Nigeria got the one goal advantage and we have to prepare for every eventuality.”
