AFCON 2023: The Elephants Want To Make History At Home - Coach Fae

Cote d’Ivoire head coach, Emerse Fae says his team want to make history by winning the Africa Cup of Nations title on home soil.

The Elephants have won the AFCON title twice in the past (1992 and 2015).

Fae declared that his team want to add a third star to the orange jersey of Cote d’Ivoire.

“Tomorrow, we have a great opportunity to keep the trophy at home. We know that when you organize a tournament, it is difficult to go on and win it,” Fae said on Saturday.

“We have made the final and tomorrow, we have the opportunity to achieve this feat and at the same time, add a third star to the orange jersey of Côte d’Ivoire.”

The hosts will take on the Super Eagles in the final at the Alassanne Quattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan on Sunday.
