Serie A: My Future At Napoli Has Been Decided - Spalletti

By Chimezie Nebolisa

Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti admitted he’s reached a decision about his future at the Serie A Champions, after the 3-1 home victory against Inter Milan.

Spalletti told reporters: "The matter has been decided, you don’t change your mind every day. It's a situation that has been brewing for a long time. When you work from morning to night, some matters tend to mature in your mind, because you have to put this spectacle on all the time. If you are not convinced that you can give everything these people deserve, it’s right to think it over. You think it over, you arrive at a conclusion and then you stick with it."

Spalletti said he had discussed the situation with club President Aurelio De Laurentiis and they had reached a resolution on the matter.

"All that needs doing is for it to be announced. I told De Laurentiis what I needed to say. There were no negotiations. After that dinner together, we emerged with everything sorted out," he added.

La Liga now a racists' league - Vinicius
Vinicius Junior said LaLiga belongs to racists after suffering vile abuse on Sunday during Real Madrid's 1-0 defeat at Valencia.

The 22-year-old Brazilian winger faced off with home supporters and pointed directly to one after racist insults during the second half.

Vinicius wrote on his Instagram page: "It was not the first time, not the second and not the third. Racism is normal in LaLiga. The competition thinks it's normal, the (Spanish) Federation also thinks it's normal and opponents encourage it," Vinicius wrote on Instagram on Sunday. The league that once belonged to Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Cristiano (Ronaldo) and (Leo) Messi, now belongs to racists.

"A beautiful nation, which welcomed me and which I love, but one which has agreed to export the image of a racist country to the world. I'm sorry for the Spaniards who don't agree, but today, in Brazil, Spain is known as a country of racists. Unfortunately, for everything that happens every week, I have no way of defending it. I agree," he added.

However, La Liga said they have been "proactive in the face of all racist incidents" involving Vinicius who was sent off in Sunday's game.

Winning Champions League will complete glory - Guardiola

Pep Guardiola said he’s not about to start blowing his own trumpet during the celebrations after his side lifted the Premier League title for the fifth time in six seasons.

His record of 11 league titles in 15 seasons as manager of Barcelona, Bayern Munich and now City, speaks for itself.

While insisting that failing to conquer Europe's summit with City by beating Inter Milan should not diminish what he has achieved at the club, he knows his City career might ultimately be judged on whether he wins the Champions League with them.

He told reporters: "Fifth Premier League title in six years, I could not imagine winning five in six. I have the feeling we've done something exceptional but to be considered one of the greatest we have to win the Champions League, otherwise it's not complete. We won a lot but can't deny that it can be unfair to have to win the Champion League to give value to what you've done."

It is the third time Guardiola has won three league titles in succession, having done so in LaLiga from 2009-11 and in the Bundesliga from 2014-16.
