England ex-international David Beckham, has said that the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar will be like no other edition in the history of the tournament.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup will be hosted in the Gulf nation of Qatar between November 20 and December 18, 2022, the first time that the event will take centre stage in the latter part of a year.

Beckham who doubles as Qatar 2022 ambassador believes that players will arrive at the mid-season World Cup full of energy.

Speaking to the media, Beckham said: “I was lucky enough to play in three World Cups and I know that I went into each of those World Cups playing probably 50 to 60 games in the season. Players are coming into this World Cup after playing 25 games. So they will be arriving fresh and excited. Their energy is going to be at the top level, so I think what you’re going to see on the pitch is probably like no other World Cup.”
