Cricket: Haynes retires from Internationals

Australia vice-captain has announced her retirement from internationals.

The 35-year-old is a key player in Australia winning two 50-over, three Twenty 20 World Cups and gold in the 2022 Commonwealth games.

Haynes who made her debut in 2009 hav played 77 one-day internationals, 84 T20s and six Tests for Australia.

“To be a leader within this environment has been the greatest privilege of my career. To all my teammates across my career, you are the reason I’ve played as long as I have. You have inspired me to be better every day,” she said.
