Cricket: Sri Lanka beat Pakistan in Asia Cup final

Sri Lanka outsmarted Pakistan by 23 runs to claim a sixth victory at the Asia Cup final in Dubai, UAE.

The win completes Sri Lanka’s U-turn in the tournament after losing their first game to Afghanistan.

In his reaction after the match Sri Lankan's coach, Chris Silverwood said: “There was always confidence that the team had talent, we just needed a method. We worked hard and the reults are showing. Our young seam attack was superb, but it was a team effort”.

Only India on seven has won more Asia Cup titles than Sri Lanka.
