The Super Eagles have received a major boost after Kenneth Omeruo joined the group training on Wednesday.

The former Chelsea defender limped off with ten minutes to go against Egypt and was replaced by Semi Ajayi.

He took part in the recovery session alone before joining the group to partake in the training ahead of the second match against Sudan.

Omeruo put up an impressive performance in the heart of the team's defence that kept Mohammed Salah quiet.

Omeruo was part of the Super Eagles team that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations trophy under the late Stephen Keshi.

He has played 55 matches for Nigeria finding the back of the net once.
