Zidane Reacts To Real Madrid Win Against Valencia

Real Madrid Coach, Zinedine Zidane has hailed his players for putting up a complete performance to brush aside Valencia at home.

The Los Blancos ran out 3-0 winners against the visitors courtesy of a brace by Karim Benzema including a wonder strike and a goal from Marco Asensio.

Valencia took a shock lead in the first half through Rodrigo, but the goal was ruled our by VAR for offside.

The first half ended goalless but Real Madrid came out of the second half with a sense of urgency.

Hazard was close to scoring but he was denied by the Valencia goalkeeper, Jasper Cillessen.

The former Chelsea star set up Benzema for the first goal on the hour mark before Marco Asensio scored with his first touch after replacing Valverde.

Benzema put the icing on the cake with a contender for goal of the season award with a superb piece of skill and a volley to give Real Madrid the maximum points.

Real Madrid are two points behind Barcelona in second place, the Blaugrana are in action today against Sevilla.

"We know that it will be like this until the end, but today we can be happy because of what we've done in the game," Zidane said in his post-match interview.

"They are the ones fighting; we have to enjoy and congratulate the players because it was a complete game and then think about the next game against Real Sociedad."

Benzema has now scored 243 goals for Real Madrid in all competitions, he is now their 5th all-time goalscorer.
