Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solkskjaer, is confident that his players will be in the right physical condition to face Tottenham when the Premier League resumes.

The English Premier League is set to return on June 17 after it went on break due to the outbreak of the coronavirus.

The Red Devils will make a trip to North London to face Tottenham as they battle to usurp Chelsea in the final Champions League slot on the log.

Solskjaer believes his players will go into the game with the same mentality they showed against Chelsea, when they ran out 4-0 winners against The West London side on the opening day of the season.

"We've been looking forward to these games for ages really," Solskjaer told United's website on Friday.

"The first game is two weeks from today so we need to step up the training and get an edge to our game again.

"Everyone knows that we'll have to be at our best, have to be focused (against Tottenham). We know it's a big game for everyone.

"We had Chelsea when we started the league this season so I'm confident that our players can go into the Tottenham game with that mentality of going there to play a very good game of football."

Manchester United were on a 11-match unbeaten run before the league was suspended in March.
