Osimhen Named Lille's Player Of The Season.

Super Eagles rave of the moment, Victor Osimhen, has been named Lille's player of the season after a scintillating first season at the French Club.

Osimhen scored 18 goals and recorded six assists in all competitions before the Ligue was cancelled due to the outbreak of the coronavirus.

The 21-year-old joined Lille from Charleroi in the summer and he has quickly established himself as a fans' favourite.

He was also named in the French Ligue 1 team of the season.

The former Wolfsburg striker has been linked with a move to the likes of Chelsea, Tottenham, Napoli and Real Madrid following his impressive performances for Lille.

It will be recalled that Osimhen and his Super Eagles compatriot, Moses Simon, who is on the books of Nantes were nominated for the Ligue 1 African player of the year award.

Osimhen announced the death of his Father, Patrick Osimhen last month.
