Former Manchester United right back and captain, Gary Neville believes the only player at United that can will the Ballon D'or is Paul Pogba.

Manchester United have not had a Ballon d’Or winner since Cristiano Ronaldo in 2008, with George Best their most recent before that in 1968.

But former Valencia manager, Neville, feels Pogba has the ability to win the award, naming him as the most likely candidate of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

United manager, Solskjaer had hinted at a possible midfield partnership between Pogba and Bruno Fernandes earlier this week, and Neville agrees that the pair could strike up a compelling union when the Premier League returns and Pogba is back to full fitness.

Neville said on Twitter "They could be amazing together if they compromise and work to help each other,"

Meanwhile, Pogba could be on his way out of United this summer amidst consistent links away from the club since January, with a range of players offered to United in a part-exchange deal.

According to reports, Real Madrid may use Lucas Vazquez, Alvaro Odriozola and James Rodriguez as makeweights, while Juventus could propose a transfer involving Douglas Costa or Alex Sandro.

The Serie A champions might also appeal to Solskjaer’s desire to sign a right winger by making Federico Bernadeschi available.
