Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly urged agents to help them find a new destination for club-record signing Tanguy Ndombele after less than a season in North London.

The 23-year old Frenchman moved from Lyon to North London last summer for €62million and has performed below expectations which has made a move away from Spurs to be imminent.

The North London club have mandated agents to find a new club for the former Lyon midfielder and are already willing to accept offers from clubs.

However, it's unclear whether Spurs will be recouping the transfer fee that was shelled out for the former Lyon midfielder last July. Also, given that the price of players are expected to reduce drastically due to the financial crisis caused by the Covid-19 outbreak.

According to the reports, Spurs could explore the possibility of offering Ndombele as part of a player-swap deal, which would allow Jose Mourinho to bring in some of his own targets.

Barcelona are said to be interested in a swap deal for the Tottenham flop as the Catalan club have offered defensive duo (Nelson Semedo and Samuel Umtiti as part of the deal for the Ndombele who impressed them last season when he scored twice in the Champions League against the Balugrana club.

Moreso, With Jose Mourinho's consistent criticism of the French man, his days at Tottenham seems to be drawing to an end, but as things stands, it is understood that Spurs want to try and recoup some of their money while they can in order to pursue other potential targets.
