KANO PILLARS WINNING

Kano Pillars put up an awesome display at the Sani Abacha stadium in Kano where they recorded a crushing 6-0 win over Shooting Stars in their Match Day 13 tie.

Emmanuel Edmund got a hat-trick for Pillars while the trio of Ifeanyi Matthew, Adamu Mohammed and Nafiu Ibrahim all contributed a goal each in the match.

Ifeanyi Matthew set the tone for a goals feat when he registered the first goal of the game with a low drive just after 11 minutes of action, before Edmund doubled the lead in the 37th minute.

Edmund netted his second of the game in the 58th minute and completed his hat-trick in the 82nd minute, before late strikes by Adamu Mohammed and Nafiu Ibrahim made nonsense of the Oluyole Warriors whose players are reportedly owed five months salary.

With this macth win, Pillars now have 21 points from 12 matches.

In other centres, Wikki Tourist also put up a commanding display against big spenders, FC Ifeanyi Ubah as they thrashed the Nnewi-based team 3-0 on.

In Umuahia, Abia Warriors recorded a 3-1 win over MFM FC while Heartland and Lobi Stars both beat their respective opponents, Sunshine Stars and Niger Tornadoes 1-0.
