SAN FRANCISCO, September 08, (THEWILL) – A group, Niger Delta Revolutionary Council (NDRC), Tuesday, called on oil magnate and businessman, Femi Otedola, to stop blackmailing Niger Delta sons and daughters.

A statement signed by the spokesman of the group, Wynowei Whyte, said it has observed that some elements from other parts of Nigeria who profited immeasurably from the last administration headed by a Niger Delta son have turned themselves into Potiphar's wife and blackmailers of Niger Delta people.

Alleging that one of such elements is Mr Femi Otedola , the group said: “It has come to our incontrovertible knowledge that this man who is one of the biggest beneficiaries of the former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan administration, is trying to blackmail and extort monies from the sons and daughters of Niger Delta origin; whether in or out of government.”

The group therefore warned Otedola, who, according to it, always brags about his closeness to the current President and all the security agencies, to within the next seven days retrace his steps.

“We will be ready to fully reciprocate his blackmail and match his violent tendencies in the protection of our sons and daughters from the Niger Delta Region that he is attacking daily through the social media and other media. We hereby state categorically that enough is enough from Mr Femi Otedola and his ingratitude to our region and the former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan,” the group said.
