Special Adviser to the President on Strategy, Research and Documentation,Mr. Oronto Douglas, has died of Cancer.A top confidant of President Goodluck Jonathan, Douglas died early thismorning at the State House Clinic, Asokoro, Abuja.Douglas has for a few years been battling to survive what a source saidwas “stomach cancer.”Until his appointment into the President Jonathan's administration,Douglas was a lawyer who represented the Niger Delta oil Communities. Heis internationally known as an environmental activist.Born in 1966, Douglas is survived by a wife and Children.
