By FRED OGHENESIVBE

The fear of Olorogun Otega Emerhor's intellectual prowess is the beginning of wisdom. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa and his Labour Party (LP) political associate, Chief Great Ogboru decline to take part in today's elections debate even though they re-confirmed their participation 24 hours ago.

Fillers from Grand Hotel Asaba, venue of the live Debate revealed that Okowa did not show up while Ogboru who summed courage to get to the venue decided at the last minute not to participate.

Olorogun Emerhor was beaming with smiles and display ratre intellectual confidence. He mounted the podium to keep his words haven accepted to engage the other two candidates in a brain storming session to articulate his loaded electioneering manifesto which he promise to implement to the last letter, if elected.

It is now obvious that the PDP and LP candidates have nothing to offer Deltans in terms of socio-economic road map other than to come and loot the state treasury if elected. In developed and civilized societies, elections debate are essential and recognized as an integral part of electioneering process which enables citizens to carefully make choice of who or those that should lead them.

Another governorship election debate will come up on April 4, organized by the Delta State Chapter of the Nigerian Union of Journalists in conjunction with the management of Channels Television. It is hoped that Okowa and Ogboru will be able to go through their scripts very well so as to face Olorogun Emehor who holds a First Class Honours Degree in Accounting, from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Emerhor is the Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Standard Alliance Group, Chairman of Transcorp Group and a turn-around management expert with solid credentials and intimidating wealth of experience in banking and insurance businesses.

Emerhor is a well known international figure and was recently awarded Honorary Citizen of the State of GEORGIA in the United States of America. He is an extra-ordinary intelligent personality and international conference facilitator, married to Olorogun Rita Emerhor and they have bright children.
