PDP Tells Amaechi to Pay Civil Servants, Pensioners in Rivers Before Receiving Buhari

By Rivers State PDP

The Chairman of the Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bro Felix Obuah has called on the State Governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to pay civil servants their salaries for the month of February, 2015, arrears of three months to pensioners including six months overhead before welcoming the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, Mohammadu Buhari to the State on Thursday.

Bro. Felix Obuah in a statement signed by his Special Adviser of Media, Jerry Needam likened the Governor and his APC to an ostrich which buries its head in the sand while leaving its ugly behind exposed.

The party touted APC for creating impression before Buhari and his fellow hawks that all is well in Rivers State whereas Amaechi has left the people impoverished through bad governance resulting in abandoned projects and huge financial debts from financial institutions.

PDP alleges that the sum of N2.7bn has been collected through the office of the Secretary to State Government to hire youths from neighbouring States at the rate of N50, 000 per person to attend the rally, to create false impressive that Rivers people are in APC.

The PDP reminded the APC that Rivers people are now wiser, adding ~You can fool the people most of the time but you cannot fool them all of the time~.

The party advised the good people of the State to go about their normal businesses and shun Amaechi and his visitor on Thursday, March 12, 2015.
