Excerpts:
Let's meet you sir?
I am Stanley Ologbo, the present Chairman of Handicapped Job Centre of Nigeria,Ajeromi-Ifelodun chapter. I am from Orie-Irri,Idheze-Irri and Ozoro both in Isoko South and Isoko North Local Governments Area of Delta State but lives in Opaleye Street in Ajegunle Apapa,Lagos.I had my primary education at Orodo and proceeded to Ojora Secondary school. I did not further from there due to financial constraint.

What are your present challenges you face as a handicap?

The challenges are enormous to me. We are being rated as third class citizens in Nigeria. My family has been good to me. I was never born as a handicap but according to my parents, it was a sudden illness which I cannot explain. I am not a beggar on the street but I want faithful individuals to assist me with tricycle to better my life. By March this year, I would be forty years old and I want to marry to have my own family too. My legs are handicapped but my hands are not. God should send a divine helper for me. Begging on the streets of Lagos is a tool for laziness and nothing more. I came from a humble family with integrity. One thing is that people don't take us serious in life. Some of us that are disable, blind and handicap want empowerment that can keep us busy not as nuisance on the streets.

As the present Chairman of Handicapped Job Centre of Nigeria, Ajeromi-Ifelodun chapter, what has been the role of past serving chairmen of the local governments?

They have been empowering us with food items and little cash which is not enough. We need creative empowerment in our lives. Life is all about challenges. It was only the present governorship candidate of the APC, Mr.Akinwunmi Ambode that took us for a rally in Lagos State that is all the handicaps living in the State. We want individuals that are doing well to assist us. Poverty is not in our dictionary. We can be job creators too.

Have you extended your demand to Isoko or Delta State?

That is why I am granting this interview with you. Isoko people that are economically doing well should assist us. Most of us are from Delta State. The Delta State governor, Dr.Emmanuel Uduaghan should hear our cry too. The two local government chairmen in Isoko, Hon.Emmanuel Egbabor and Hon Sir.Malik Ikpokpo should extend their support to us .I am not destined to beg on the street but create jobs for not only disable but also able people in Nigeria. For financially empowerment they should contact me through this number 07053167240.

What is your advice for handicaps begging on the streets in Nigeria?

They should see themselves as first class citizens in Nigeria. They should desist from begging and look for more creative jobs not undignified ones and they should take God as their source of wealth.
