Governor Obiano enjoys Christmas fun with the Children

It was an exciting Christmas festivity for the governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano and the children as Sancta Claus, popularly called Father Christmas arrived the Governor's Lodge Amawbia and shared memorable gift items to children selected from all parts of the state to commemorate the festive season.

Governor Obiano who spoke excitedly while declaring open the Christmas party hosted by his wife, Chief (Mrs.) Ebelechukwu Obiano over the weekend charged the children to take their studies seriously even as they embark on the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Speaking to the over 4000 children who turned out from different parts of the state for the celebration, the governor told them that paying attention to their academics will enable them make good grades and also able to actualize their potentials in life.

He urged them to take advantage of the adequate security measures put in place by his government to ensure the safety of all persons everywhere in the State to socialize, have fun and make new friends during the festive period and beyond.

Earlier, Mrs. Obiano who was represented by the wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs. Oby Okeke called on the children to learn to work hard and imbibe the spirit of team work.

She challenged the children to always pray to God for good health, their parents and leaders.

The wife of the governor also called on parents to pay attention to the children and take good care of them stressing that the most they can do is to ensure they receive sound education.
