Uduaghan's Aide, Ofili For Burial September 4

The Special Adviser to Delta State Governor on Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Mr. Sunny Ofili, who died in ghastly motor accident on August 9, would be buried on Friday, September 5.

A statement released by his family indicates that service of songs would hold on Thursday, September 4 at 6 p.m. in Issele Azagba, the country home of the late Ofili, while valedictory session would hold at Government House at 8 a.m. on Friday, September 5.

The statement added that church service would hold at 10 a.m. on the same Friday at Dominion Christian Centre by Maduemezia Hospital, Umuagu, Asaba, Delta State capital, while tributes and reception would hold at the State Event Centre, along Okpanam Road, Asaba.

The accident, which claimed his life and that of the Obi of Issele Uku, Obi Henry Ezeagwuna, occurred between Issele Uku and Asaba.

It occurred after Mr. Ofili had participated in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary election to elect a candidate to represent the party at the October 25 local government elections in Aniocha North Local Government Area of the state.

Before his death, Ofili was also in charge of the Directorate of Science and Technology, a position he held till he died.

He was also the Publisher of Delta Herald Newspapers, a weekly that circulates in Delta State.

He had worked in many media organisations including the Guardian Newspapers.

He was a CISCO certified engineer and an ICT expert having been trained in the United States of America.

Ofili was also aspiring to represent his local government, Aniocha North, in the state House of Assembly.

He is survived by his wife and children.
