APC in Jigawa inaugurates interim executive

The Jigawa chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday inaugurated its interim executive officers  to pilot its affairs.

Alhaji Abubakar Badaru, a former governorship candidate of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in the 2011 general elections was elected as the chairman.

The position of interim secretary went to Mr Ibrahim Hassan, also a former governorship candidate in the 2011 elections on the platform of the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP).

Others are Alhaji Faruk Aliyu, treasurer;  Alhaji Nasiru Dantiye, organising secretary; Murtala Taura, publicity secretary and Mr Bala Hamza, legal adviser.

Inaugurating the executives, Alhaji Salisu Fagge, the North West interim Vice Chairman of the party, charged them to work in harmony to ensure that the party was rooted in the state.

He said the leaders and the followers must work together for the victory of the party in the 2015 general elections.

In his acceptance speech, Badaru thanked members of the party for finding them worthy to pilot its affairs in the state.

Badaru urged the members to suppress their personal interests and work for the growth of the party in the state.
