Thrilled by the superb performance  by  Platateau United  midfielder Eric Kwame in their match against the  Super Eagles in Plateau, the Super Eagles Coach has handed him an instant call up to the national team camp.

The Eagles defeated the Jos base club 2-0 defeat in one of the  practice matches played by the Super eagles to tune up for CHAN in January.

Keshi who said he was impressed by the display of his boys as well as the Plateau side was particularly thrilled with Kwame's display that he handed him an instant call up. Five other players were also called up, as the coaching crew gets desperate in the making of a final squad for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in South Africa next month.

Five others were asked to drop out and try their luck next time.

The five other invited players who are expected to hit the Bolton White Apartment of the team immediately are Warri Wolves' Joshua Obaji, Emmanuel Nwankwo of Bukola Babes, Sunshine Stars' Paul Ikenna, Kano Pillars Shehu Abdulahi and returnee Heartland of Owerri winger, Obinna Nwachukwu.

Those dropped from the squad are goalkeeper,  Isa Danladi, who copped an injury that will take over ten days to heal, Chibuzor Madu, who is also injured and has not trained with the team in the last three days, Lobi's Douglas Achive, Warri Wolves Emenike Achibi, who was invited only last week and Akwa United's Ezekiel Mba.

Assistant coach Daniel Amokachi, who spoke on behalf of Keshi to the players said they were dropped not because they were not good enough, but because of time constraint, assuring them that sooner than later, they will again be invited to the national team under the present scheme of things.

'We urge you to return to your clubsides and continue to give your best and we will keep monitoring your progress for the future,' he said.
