NNEWI STAND STILL FOR OBIANO AND WARN IFEANYI TO MIND HIS KEROSINE BUSINESS

Today at Nkwo Nnewi ,the home town of Dim Ikemba Ojukwu ,What would have been a bloody clash between APGA and Labour Party averted by Gov. Peter Obi.

In efforts to reach their various supporters, different parties campaigned furiously and across the land. Gov. Peter Obi and Chief Victor Umeh led APGA campaign that traversed most of the markets in Nkpor, Onitsha and Nnewi. Some of the markets visited including Old Mercedes parts, Nkpor; New Tyre, New parts, as well as Nkpor Main Market.

Others include Ogboefere, Plastics, Relief, Shoes at Onitsha and Ngbuka at Obosi. Then to Machine Spare Parts, Nnewi, Motor Parts and Articles all in Nnewi.

Trouble started when Obi's campaign train headed to Nkwo Triangle in Nnewi for the final rally. Approaching there, it was discovered that Ifeanyi Ubah and his Labour Party were laying in wait to ambush Gov Obi and APGA team,they were distributing materials and sharing money, including dollars at an arena APGA prepared for their rally. As some APGA faithfuls led by Igwe APGA, Chief Ben Obi ( Mbuze Agulu), were advising Labour People to leave to avoid a showdown, Governor Obi, sensing what was happening immediately sped off. This was how all the convoy joined him to a safer place. Obi was constrained to speak to APGA people saying in Igbo, adighi Ibua ayi ala. Tactically withdrawn with his people, they stayed away until Ifeanyi Ubah and his Labour Party goons left.

Speaking about the incident, APGA flag bearer, Dr. Willie Obiano said that APGA would remain a peace-loving party, insisting that after the campaign and the election, that Anambra people would still remain brothers and sisters.

After APGA camp got the information that Ubah has left, they moved to Nkwo Triangle for their rally.

At the rally, both Gov. Peter Obi and Chief Victor Umeh thanked the people of Anambra State for their steadfastness with APGA and expressed confidence that APGA will win the gubernatorial election.

In his speech, Ojukwu's son, Emeka Ojukwu 11 said that any Igbo vote for another party outside APGA commited NSO ANI. He described a vote for APGA as a vote for the survival of Igbo nation.

Ojukwu's wife, Bianca Ojukwu, Who described Gov. Obi as the best of men, said she was delighted that he brought out his replacement in Willie Obiano and expressed confidence that Obiano would have the same disposition as Obi. She recalled how Dim Odumegwu-Ojukwu took Gov. Obi as a son and how the Governor treated him with surpassing love,she appealed to umu Igbo to follow him as the rock upon which APGA would continue to grow from strength to strength.

Speaking, the APGA candidate, Dr. Willie Obiano said that the solidarity shown to him by the people of the State has encouraged him to renew his faith in Anambra State and her people. he said he would deploy his wealth of experience to offer the State quality service in the best APGA tradition that Obi faithfully implemented.
