What played in Aluu, a suburb of Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital few weeks ago, where four undergrads of the University of Port Harcourt, were wrongly murdered and set ablaze by the natives, for their purportedly involvement in stealing, is about to play

in Umumba village, Nsirimo-Umuahia, Abia State.
Investigation reveals that the people of Umumba are on the trail of one Emmanuel (surname withheld), 22, for allegedly involved in adultery.

Nevertheless, the alleged woman-friend of the accused, according to a source, has confessed on Saturday 27th Oct. 2012 that Emmanuel was not her lover, yet the villagers are voices-high that they must incinerate Emmanuel, a situation which assertively led to the furious villagers beating-up one aged Chibu, who was said to be opposed to the idea of burning Emmanuel, and he was also fined N5,000 by their kinsmen, for speaking opposite to their idea.

Notwithstanding, the source also said that Emmanuel has since ran away from the village for his dear life, but his relatives are now in fears that except the government, police and human rights organisations intervene and stop the villagers from their alleged plan, they are afraid Umumba people will not leave Emmanuel to live, no matter how many years it might take him to return to Umumba. It was revealed that in 2007, the Umumba people allegedly set ablaze one suspect - notorious Gabriel, for similar and sundry offense.
