APGA IS CLOSING THE GAP ON PDP- APGA UK CHAPTER

By Sir Onyeka Mbaso

APGA UK emphasizes the importance of stable political leadership as a necessary condition for economic growth. Gov Rochas Okorocha's political ideology for APGA is a typical example of stable political leadership that have brought dividends to the masses of Imo state. We believe in democratic leadership where members are encouraged to share their thoughts, feel more involved and committed to the project. These will lead to higher productivity among party members with a resultant increase in party membership .

We welcome the decision of Senator Annie Okonkwo to join APGA as a landmark victory for APGA and a big set back to PDP. This will encourage other individuals that are on the political fence to join the progressives and team up to support APGA. We urge Senator Okonkwo to use the C21 vision initiated my our most celebrated Gov Rochas Okorocha to inspire the future generation of Ndigbo.

The APGA UK Chieftain in London Sir Onyeka Mbaso expressed his disappointment by the decision of Innocent Umezurike the Chief Judge of Enugu State to grant an injunction by an expelled APGA member Mr Jude Okoli to destabilize the party activities. His decision has indeed exposed the weak and corrupt judiciary system that we operate in Nigeria. It has never happened anywhere in the world and we urge the governing body of the Nigerian Judiciary Commission to redeem their image by being transparent in their rulings.

The current insecurity, embezzlement and poor economy in Nigeria has given APGA an edge over the ruling party PDP in the political arena. We want Nigerians to reflect on the current problems in our country and join APGA because PDP has failed the nation. APGA is now a viable competitor among other political parties in Nigeria and that is the more reason why we should stand firm to defend the unity of our great party. The younger politicians in APGA are eager and willing to make APGA a ruling party in the Southeast Zone and nationally come 2015.

In the same manner, the APGA UK Chapter BOT Chairman Sir Jude Ibe while addressing reporters before the aborted NEC meeting in Abuja assured party members that there is no crises in APGA. He asserted that we have contained our detractors and enemies of democracy and therefore urged party members to disassociate themselves from the likes of Jude Okoli. All members should read the hand writing on the wall and understand that Sadiq Massala's group has no vision for APGA. He also reminded all members that we should not forget the achievements of Chief Sir Victor Umeh and the National Working Committee of APGA.

In his statement the APGA Ghana Chapter Chairman Chief Obinna Anoruo advised all factions to please respect the leadership structure of our great party. This is not the time for distractions and advised our Governors to carry party members along in other to stamp APGA'S presence at the grassroots. Ndigbo should learn how to respect leaders and this is why we contribute more in Nigeria politics but are seen as still the weakest link.

APGA UK Chapter commends our National Chairman Chief Sir Victor Umeh, Alhaji Dr Sanni Shinkafi and the entire APGA National Working Committee for their efforts in making APGA a party to emulate. History must surely vindicate all their hard works and advise them not to be distracted by Sadiq Massala's group. All APGA Chapters in diaspora will sink and swim together with the leadership of our National Chairman Chief Sir Victor Umeh as he is widely ackinowledged as the hardest national chairman of contemporary Nigeria politics.

Finally we urge our Governors, Stakeholders, Traditional rulers to intervene into this minor distractions in APGA in other to protect our identity and preserve the legacy of our leader Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu. Let us ignore our personal agenda and build a formidable APGA for the future generation, Sir Mbaso maintained.
