FALCONS LEAVE FOR SOUTH AFRICA, TUESDAY

By NBF News

The Super Falcons of Nigeria will leave Zimbabwe for South Africa on Tuesday to honour a date with Banyana Banyana in an international friendly match.

Banyana Banyana will use the game against Africa's top ranked team to prepare for the London 2012 Olympic Games football tournament, which begins on July 25, 2012.

Falcons' Assistant Captain, Stella Mbachu, has vowed that the team will play their best against South Africa, saying the Olympic Games-bound side expects a tough test

from Africa's premier team.
'The pressure is on them (Banyana Banyana) because they qualified for the Olympic Games and they need to be prepared. We will give them a very tough game and give them a taste of what they will get in the tournament.'

The game will be played in Rustenburg on June 3, 2012 by 6.45pm South African time (5.45pm Nigerian time).

The match comes up immediately after the game between the South African male team, Bafana Bafana, and Ethiopia in a FIFA 2014 World Cup qualifying match in the same stadium.
