In Kano, Unidentified Gunmen Kill Three, Injure One

KANO, May 27, (THEWILL) - Unidentified gunmen on Saturday shot dead three people and injured someone else at Gaida area in Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano.

An eyewitness told THEWILL in Kano on Sunday that the incident happened a day earlier at about 6:30 pm when people were preparing for evening prayers.

According to the witness, the suspected gunmen stormed the area on motorcycles and immediately opened fire on a group of people who were resting under a tree.

“Three persons died on the spot while another person was seriously injured,” the source said.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Rilwanu Dutse confirmed the incident as well as the death and injury tools. He added that security had since been beefed up around the area while investigations had also commenced.
