NB CHARGE CUSTOMERS ON INCREASED MARKET PERFORMANCE

Managing Director/ Chief Executive of Nigeria Breweries (NB) Plc Mr. Nicolaas Vervelde has charged its major distributors and transporters on a better market place performance which will result on increased returns in their businesses.
'I urge you to stay focused in our collective determination to win at the market place. I have no doubt in my mind that the success of your businesses would be guaranteed, so long as you remain committed to our partnership, by transporting and selling the best brands which has seen us celebrating today,' Verlvede said.
He made these statements during the 2011 customer's award ceremony at the Expo Hall Eko Hotel, Lagos.
While commending the customer's effort for the year, he said '2011 was a great year for our company. We recorded an outstanding performance but, we could not have done it alone without the active support of all of you.
You stood by us in spite of the huge challenges facing our country today and in spite of the constant threat to your lives and businesses. I cannot thank you enough for being there for Nigerian Breweries. The award is therefore our small way of acknowledging these contributions. '
Continued he pointed that the company would not stop celebrating because it did not only record a huge volume growth but the year also marked a significant milestone in the history of the company.
'You must be aware by now that our company formally took over Sona Systems (with breweries in Ota and Kaduna) and Life Breweries, Onitsha in 2011. In October, we welcomed our new colleagues from Sona Systems and Life Breweries to the family.
We also received into our portfolio three new brands - Goldberg Lager, Life Continental Lager and Malta Gold. They are now part of the winning team which parades -Star lager, Heineken lager, GuIder lager, Legend Extra stout, Maltina, Amstel Malta, Fayrouz and Climax Herbal Energy drink.'
However, Customers who recorded over three million sales in the year on focus went home with three million naira cheaque each, customers with two million sales went home with two million naira cheaque as well one million sales and above received a cheaque of one million.
To crown it all a raffle draw was conducted for the customers and a winner went home with a brand new pick up van. Some of the major distributors/transporterswent home with brand new KVA Generator set others received cartoon units of NB drinks, among others.
