WARRI-FORMER Labur Party, LP, candidate for Warri North constituency, Delta State House of Assembly during the last general election, Mr. Adanse Felix, Sunday, called on the Federal government to set up an independent probe to unravel the circumstances that led to the death of Major Adaka Boro, several years after his death.

Felix also implored the Ijaw National Congress, INC, and all other good spirited groups to ensure that the death of Adaka Boro was investigated, lamenting that the circumstances of his death remainedĀ  unresolvedĀ  while fighting alongside the Federal Government troops against the Biafran resistance during the Nigerian civil war.

Felix said: 'He died in a questionable manner as he was never killed by enemy bullet. Till date, the Federal Government has never deemed it fit to set up an enquiry to unravel the circumstances that led to the death of the Niger Delta hero.

'We want to use this medium to call and urge the Federal Government as well as the INC and all other good spirited groups to set up an independent probe to unravel the circumstances that led to the death of Major Adaka Boro.'

'The Ijaw people want to know who actually killed him and why, after all, he was killed when the civil war was over. There were no more battles at the time he died. What led to his death is the question agitating the minds of every Niger Deltan,' he added.
